Singapore will be hosting the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) from 14 to 26 August 2010. The Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games will receive some 5,000 athletes and officials from the 205 National Olympic Committees (NOCs), along with estimated 1200 media representatives, 20,000 local and international volunteers, and more than 370,000 spectators. Young athletes - aged between 14 and 18 years - will compete in 26 sports and take part in Culture and Education Programme.
The Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games aims to inspire youth around the world to embrace, embody and express the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect. It will create a lasting sports, culture and education legacy for Singapore and youths from around the world, as well as enhance and elevate the sporting culture locally and regionally.
The convention and exhibition halls at the International Convention Centre will be converted to an excellent venue for the wrestling, judo, boxing, taekwondo, fencing, and handball competitions. The full competition schedule is available at www.singapore2010.sg.

Often known as the Asian’s version of David Copperfield, the renowned Taiwanese magician, Liu Qian is coming this July to amaze you with his magical stunts.
Be prepared to witness a series of miracles as Liu Qian brings you a night of spectacular, breathtaking performances that encompass the transformation of dollar notes, disappearing into the thin air before your eyes, breaking free within seconds without external aid and many more.
A regular performer and judge in the popular Taiwanese variety show, “Variety Big Brother” since 2007, Liu Qian rose to international fame after his first public appearance in China, during CCTV's annual Spring Festival in 2009. He performed a close-range three-part magic show, which included "teleporting" an engagement ring into a real egg. Since then, Liu Qian has made multiple appearances internationally, performing in Japan, South Korea, Europe, and the United States.
